Kumaon region
We return to our yoga retreat in the mountains of the Himalayas. The still little-known Kumaon region is located in the north of the state of Uttarakhand. It borders Tibet to the north and Nepal to the east. The large snow-covered peaks of the Himalayas in the north characterize the picture as well as the pretty hill stations in the valleys.
Kesar and Ravi, father and son of Eco Camp, have built a property made of natural materials that will host us for a week of yoga in beautiful nature. During morning meditation we sit in silence against the backdrop of the mighty Himalayas and in the afternoon we explore the area with Ravi, our trekking guide. We visit the villages and their inhabitants and on these tours we can see how the people in this region originally live and what their customs and traditions are.
Program:
morning, yoga, meditation, kriyas and pranayama
at noon, brunch from Indian cuisine, as well as coffee, tea, toast and fresh fruit from the region
afternoon, trekking excursions in the area, Baden or relax at leisure, temple visits in nature
in the evening, yoga, workshops, dinner together and meditation with bayans in the hall or comfortably by the fire.
The direct train brings us comfortably overnightVaranasi.
